Presenter Instructions

At CLEF 2026, multiple kinds of submissions will be presented, including main conference papers, lab working notes, and lab overviews. Please check the program for your presentation slot and prepare your presentation according to your paper type, as detailed below.

Presentation Formats

Depending on what type of paper you present, the instructions will differ:

Full papers: 15 minutes (10 minutes talk, 5 minutes Q&A)
Short papers: Poster presentation
Past, Present & Future paper: 15 minutes (10 minutes talk, 5 minutes Q&A)
Lab Overview papers: 10 minutes (8 minutes talk, 2 minutes Q&A)
Best-of-labs papers: 8 minutes (5 minutes talk, 3 minutes Q&A) + Poster presentation
Lab Working Notes: presentation in the respective lab session (see the program; lab-internal schedules will be provided by the lab organizers)

Posters

To present your short paper or a best-of-labs paper, please bring your printed poster to the conference venue.

Poster Format

Please print your poster in A0 format (841 x 1189 mm) in portrait orientation.
Posters in landscape orientation will not fit the poster stands and cannot be displayed.

There will be assigned poster stands in the foyer of the venue where you are expected to put up your poster (look out for the poster lists/maps). Posters remain on display for the entire duration of the conference. Poster sessions are scheduled during each coffee break.

No printing facilities will be provided at the conference venue. But there are two local printing shops within walking distance in the city center where you can print your poster on demand:

For both, you can usually just bring your PDF file on a USB stick or send it to them via email.
